The Performance Data Recorder system is made up of three major components, all of which are seamlessly integrated into the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray interior for Paris drivers to enjoy and appreciate. The first of these features is the 720p high-definition camera, mounted at the top of the windshield within the header trim. This records the driver’s point of view through the windshield. Additionally, a dedicated microphone in the cabin captures audio.

The second featured is a self-contained telemetry recorder. This system uses a dedicated GPS receiver that operates at 5 Hz, five times faster than the in-dash navigation system, for more precise positioning and corner traces. The recorder is also hardwired so that it can access vehicle information, such as engine speed, transmission gear selection, braking force, and steering-wheel angle.

The final feature is a dedicated SD card slot in the glove compartment for recording, saving, and transferring video and vehicle data. The amount of recording time of course varies based on the capacity of the memory card, but an 8GB card can record approximately 200 minutes, while a 32 GB card stores up to about 800 minutes, which is more than 13 hours of driving time around McKinney in your Chevrolet Corvette.
