In the 21-year history of the award, this is only the 3rd time that the same automaker has swept away both awards. North American Car and Truck of the Year are annual awards, given at the start of media week at the North American International Auto Show. 49 automotive journalists from the United States and Canada vote to recognize the most outstanding car and truck of the year, based on a criteria that includes the factors of innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, and value for the money.

These accolades are nothing new for the Chevrolet Corvette Stringray, a great car to drive in McKinney.
